A Personal Testimony — Giving Back Through Strength, Health, and Longevity
By the Founder, Honey Badger Charity Youth Club & Community Hub, St Paul's Bay, Malta
I started trying to get big through weight training when I was 20 years old. To give
you an idea of where I began — I was the same size as Mick Jagger or
Michael Jackson back then.
The dream of staying young, fit, and healthy took me on a journey of 44 years. All
but one — the year I fell off the wagon due to a disability that struck suddenly one morning as I was getting out of bed. It would take me an hour and a half just to stand
up with any strength or balance. The pain was frightening and severe.
I overcame that daily struggle within a month by supplementing magnesium and
working through YouTube tutorials on recovery exercises. From there I improved by
tiny increments over three years. But the best results came when I stopped the home workouts and joined Legends Gym in Bugibba, Malta.
After one year training at Legends Gym, I went from barely managing to squat 30
kilos on the squat machine — with two legs struggling — to 80 kilos on each leg. And
just last month, after three years, I started walking more normally again. Not like an
old man.
This training is for life now. If I stop, I know very quickly I will return to the excessive
pain and weakness I was experiencing. I credit the move back to gym training partly
to the support of a local church here in St Paul's Bay, and to God.
I'm also getting outstanding results from an inner calling that came to me clearly and suddenly on my very first day training at Legends. It spoke a completely different
routine — one I had never read or heard about from famous bodybuilders, gym
owners, personal trainers, or any YouTube tutorial. And perhaps the most
remarkable result of all: for the first time in my 44-year passion for fitness and
weight training, I went an entire year without a single injury. In the past, injuries had
been a constant — every single year, without exception.
An Offer to the Right Person
I am now offering my lifelong experience in fitness, weight training, diet, and natural health — built over more than four decades — to the right individual, in exchange for
a meaningful contribution to the Honey Badger Charity Boxing Event, coming to
Malta in AJanuary 2027.
Whether you are recovering from injury, looking to get fit later in life, or simply want honest, experience-driven guidance free from fads and quick fixes, I have lived it.
This is not a commercial gym package — it is real knowledge, hard won over a
lifetime.

and the wider community. Our upcoming charity boxing event in Malta —
january 2027 — brings together professional boxing, community spirit, and
fundraising for a cause that matters. Follow our journey and get involved.
Just trying anything innovative to help the cause.
Imagine reaching the best physical and mental shape of your life—and staying there, not for months, but for decades. In response to an individual willing to help the community, I can offer valuable knowledge I have learned over time inexchange,
pointing to a long-term goal of better health. In return for your assistance to the
Honey badger.
I began training at the age of 20, weighing just 50kg (110 lbs). Now, at 64, a very fit 80 kg (176.37 lbs), I still train consistently, move freely, and maintain a level of health
and energy that many struggle to achieve even half my age. This is not theory —it’s 44 years of real-world, sustainable practice across countless gyms and
disciplines.
In support of the Honey Badger Charity Youth Club and No Guilt Café, I offer my experience in long-term fitness, health, and mindset development. Giving back to those who choose to assist. maybe finding the perfect premises, may be connecting
with a big corporate sponsor to the charity.
This isn’t about extreme workouts, crash diets, or short-term results. It’s about:
-
Enjoyable, sustainable eating habits
-
Training that builds real strength without burnout
-
Simple lifestyle habits that compound over time
-
A mindset shift where fitness becomes something you enjoy—not endure
